951 seem to be prone to cracking... or at least that's the buzz created on the internet. Shocker is definitely the way to go if you ride lots of rocks and rough stuff. That's where they really shine. Plus they're a sick bike.
Very true about the carbon. I'd be worried; however, the characteristics of carbon are better than AL and I don't think cracking (by itself - non-abused) will occur. But 1 dent, deep scratch, etc and yeah, its over.

I'm amazed, for a big bike, how easy it is to throw around in the air. Sure doesn't feel like a DH bike in the air. It sure is light too... well the frame sure is. Night and day difference between my buddies demos and Shocker.

It's great. I have no regrets. Only issue I have noticed is that I have a lot of chainslap so its a little noisy coming down the trails.
